However, it is still a mystery why the construction was not started until the Qianfu period. In the 4th year of Chunyou in the Southern Song Dynasty, Guoxing Temple was destroyed by a fire. It was not fully repaired for several hundred years until 1992, when the current temple was built on the hillside next to the ruins.
